HERE IT IS, A GROOVE SLIGHTLY TRANSFORMED…
It’s now about 15 hours until we take off for our first destination in South America and we are, unsurprisingly, re-packing everything, again, in order to filter as much of the unneeded out. It is not an easy task.
Last night however, we made the very best out of our last night with our friends in NYC and it was an incredible evening filled with indescribable joy. I’m not being sarcastic. I know, it’s hard to tell.
After a rainy afternoon in the Meatpacking Mall of America and taking a course in art history at the new Whitney, we met 15 of our besties at the wonderful Jack’s Wife Freda, our old neighborhood hotspot managed by the lovely Maya and Dean (current couple and exes of Balthazar and Schiller’s, respectively.) We had the big table in the middle and told ALL the stories, old and new and I was deliriously happy to have everyone assembled, ready to drink, eat and laugh.
After a few too many bottles of rosé, we then walked across the street to the small park where Gina and I found ourselves surprisingly serenaded with poetry and promise bracelets…
We were in absolute bliss, incredibly #blessed to love and be loved this well in return by people who, it must be said, are complete strangers.
We are so lucky to be part of a group for whom family does not have to include a DNA match and we will miss them tremendously! YES, YOU!
Now, back to packing!
