STREETS OF BOGOTÁ
I didn’t write much last week because guess what? (Home) School started! Gina will detail the kids’ schedule, curriculum and more in the School Section as soon as she is done beating them with their own math books but I can tell you that we stay at the apartment most mornings now while she tries to breathe knowledge into their tiny heads and I edit and backup our media, sometimes badly answering the odd question about exponents.
However we have gone out and witnessed the beauty of a few barrios such as La Candelaria, the shopping district known as Zona Rosa, or Zona T, and where we live in Rosales. All different sides of a city, one of the largest I have ever seen, that can’t quite decide if it’s rough like New York in the late 70s or gentrified like now.
Regardless, it has been wonderful getting to know our home for the month, exactly what we meant to do when we organized this trip, to try to remain in one place long enough to get to know our neighbors, our fruit vendors, the neighborhood kids… We’re getting there.

There’s of course A LOT more to see as we venture out, as I shall detail this week…
